Signs of Life
I’m a Christian because I’ve taken the time to ask myself and consider if Jesus is alive. Since inviting Him into my life, I’ve considered what I’ve seen and experienced.
Did I discover things that indicate life?
Here is what I have experienced.

THE EVIDENCE OF LIFE
What does life look like?
Living things grow, receive nourishment, remove waste, reproduce, move and breathe.I have experienced these things spiritually.

GROWTH
I HAVE SEEN GROWTH
Since becoming a Christian I’ve seen growth in my life.
Over time I’ve changed from a self-centered person to
someone who genuinely cares about the lives and souls
of other people.
I’ve realized the true importance of deciding each day
to make a genuine effort at being a moral person; in
treating others in a right and fair way.
I’ve also better mastered my mind, my actions and my
responses.
“The new creation that Christ has made me to be is
increasingly being revealed.”

NUTRIENTS
I RECEIVE SPIRITUAL NOURISHMENT
I read, study and meditate upon the word of God, the
Bible. This gives me the spiritual sustenance that I
need each day to live as a child of God.
I also pray daily, taking my time and energy and
investing that in God.
“I give these things and receive my daily bread in
return.”

REMOVING WASTE
LETTING GO
I’ve learnt to let go of things that lead me into sin
and hamper my relationship with God.
I’ve learnt to expel from my life things that are
against the moral values and standards of the Kingdom
of God.
Cutting these things off has given me room to experience
what God has in store for me and to know and understand
the things that He wants to teach me and to do the work
that He would have me to do.
It has helped to give me the freedom to become, more
and more, the man that God has designed me to be.

REPRODUCTION
SHARING WHAT I HAVE RECEIVED
I’ve learnt the importance of sharing my spiritual
food with others, by sharing the word of God.
I’ve also discovered the value of sharing what God has
done in my life and what His word actually says.
These actions have helped to encourage others who have
faith in His name. It has given them things to consider,
that perhaps they have never heard before.
Actions such as these, in their own way, help to grow
and add to the Body of Christ.
In my time I’ve seen God actively fight for people,
even up to the end, showing how great and far reaching
His love is.

MOVEMENT
LEARNING TO MOVE IN FAITH
I’m learning to respond to God by moving from an attitude of anxiety and doubt to one of faith and thanksgiving.
I’m learning to trust Him and listen to the guidance of His Holy Spirit, whom He has given to all who are His children.
I’ve also learned to carry God’s Word with me and to remain committed to obeying Him wherever I go.

RESPIRATION
GOD'S SPIRIT WITHIN ME
God has given His Holy Spirit to everyone who belongs
to Him.
This in a way, is like the life of God being breathed
into us, teaching us, guiding us, helping us, and
upholding us, especially when times may be hard.

WHAT I HAVE FOUND
In Christ, I’ve found the substance of life.
Not someone who was alive and now is no more, but a living person who cares for me and wants a relationship with me.In Christ, I’ve found the only true and living God.
My walk has been a walk of faith, and each day I’m
discovering more about myself and God and what it means
to be His child and a part of His Kingdom.
